I am a Saint Bernard and I have special needs. I have been adopted twice and I
have dug my way out both times—OK, so I’m an escape artist—that’s my hobby! M’Shoogy’s
thinks I need to spend sometime with a trainer or an experienced dog owner. They think it would
be better if there were no young children in the home. Well, I am quite a large dog for little people.
I’m sure I would be worth all the time you put into me so please give me a
chance! (See additional info below)

Update! We received the following email on 11/29/05:
Hello M'Shoogy's!
My family has been to your place many times and until today thought you had gone out of business in the past couple of years - it's so good to see you are still here!
The reason I am writing today is to give you an update. My husband saw "Bruiser" on KC Star's web site for No More Homeless Pets in KC. By the description and birthdate we figured out she is the brother of our St. Bernard....FLOOZIE!
We came to your place in 2001 looking for a small house dog and when Jimmy called Floozie over to "just show us"...we fell in LOVE with her immediately!!! Floozie went to spend two full weeks with Dave Settle, a fantastice dog trainer who owns Settle Down & Sit Dog Training & Boarding, in Harrisonville, MO. She learned how to function in a house with two small children, heel, sit, stay, and all kinds of other things that has let us take her with us everywhere! Floozie has a HUGE backyard to play in and has been lucky enough to have had two good buddies to play with over the years - Dusty, a lab/husky mix saved from Animal Haven in Kansas, and Gus, a bulldog, saved from a moving friend. She also gets along famously with our cats, Izzie, Katie, and Flake. She is such a LOVER!
When we saw the picture of Bruiser, we could not believe how much the two look alike - and I mean EXACTLY alike!!!! We wish him lots of luck in finding someone wonderful!
I hope everything is going well and the Holiday Season brings lots of loving people your way to adopt all of the wonderful animals you save!
Take care,
Darrah, Mike, Noah, & Gracie
